Subject FOIA Request

In a letter to Peterson Machinery Sales dated June 11, 2010 Grand Traverse County Administrator Dennis Aloia stated "After meeting with the State of Michigan DNRE, dam safety inspector for an on-site inspection on Thursday, June 9th, 2010 we have received an opinion, that the removal of the hydroelectric equipment owned by Peterson Machinery Sales will not impact the continued safe operation of the dams. grand Traverse County intends to continue to care for both dams in the interest of public safety." Being that it is my safety Mr. Aloia is talking about I would like to exercise my right under the Michigan Freedom Of Information Act No. 442 of 1976 and request copies, records, any notes and any other information in the "opinion" given to Grand Traverse County by the MDNRE , dam safety inspector on June 9th, 2010 on the Boardman Dam and any other dams mentioned in Mr. Aloia's letter. Knowing that it may be difficult for me to discover what decision was made and what facts lie behind that decision I look for your speedy response.

Let the Sun shine in.

Respectfully submitted,
Norbert Tutlis
